Social Cultural Space Sarajevo - 2021 

Normally, we should have travelled to Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) in the summer of 2020. The COVID-19 crisis decided otherwise and we were all forced to stay in our own country. But we are not despairing because we are going this summer!

The “Social Cultural Space Sarajevo” project is a joint effort by Toestand (Belgium), Termokiss (Kosovo), the Social Cultural Space Tetova (North Macedonia), Uzina (Albania), Crvena (Bosnia-Herzegovina) and the young people of Sarajevo.

A growfunding initiative to create a meeting place!

We need a great deal of energy and materials to turn an abandoned building into a cosy meeting place. The former is already guaranteed, thanks to the efforts of all our volunteers. For the latter, we need your help! In recent years, we have organised lots of fun parties and events to fund the international projects. Unfortunately, this year we cannot organise any fundraising events.

The amount raised will be used for the following investments:

• Administrative costs for setting up the local NGO: 500 euros
• Purchasing minor building materials (nails, screws, paint, etc.): 2,500 euros
• Purchasing major building materials (cement, sanitary fittings, electricity, etc.): 4,000 euros
• Purchasing various construction tools (safety equipment, hammers, saws, cleaning products, etc.): 2,000 euros
• Hiring construction equipment (concrete mixer, bulldozer, excavator, etc.): 1,000 euros

Accommodation, food and transport for 100 people is being funded by Erasmus+: Youth in Action.
